Duchess House
Duchess House is Grade 2 listed (dating from 1739) and part of a terrace of inter-linking properties originally built for the Duchess of Marlborough . The rear of the house had a tiny lean-to extension which housed the family kitchen. Claire designed a replacement rear extension nestled within the tight constraints of adjacent windows and adjoining neighbour. The design includes a large rooflight to draw natural light into the space as well as providing glimpses of the brickwork above.
